HIS STORY

Bernardo Ruiz is a Mexica man and a member of the Zemanahuac Tlamachtliloyan Confederated Tribes. He is a curandero — a medicine man in the Mexica and Maya traditions — and he also carries teachings from the Q'ero nation, the keepers of the old ways in the high Andes of Peru.
None of this came quickly, and none of it came from books. It came the way this knowledge has always traveled: from elder to student, in ceremony, over years. It came with correction, with waiting, with tasks that made no sense until they suddenly did. It came, finally, with permission — because in these traditions, no one appoints themselves. You are taught, you are tested, and if you are trusted, you are sent to serve.
Outside of this work, Bernardo is the author of three international bestsellers and a leadership and organizational consultant who has worked in fourteen countries and across the United States. Inside this work, none of that leads. At Seven Trees, he is a curandero. He arrives the way he was taught to arrive: with humility, with prayer, and with time.

A Word From bernardo
I did not choose this path the way a person chooses a career. It chose me slowly, through grief, through ceremony, through the patience of elders who saw something in me long before I saw it in myself.
What I offer you is not mine. I am a carrier, not an owner. The prayers, the songs, the ways of cleansing and protecting and calling the ancestors close — these were placed in my hands by people who love humanity more fiercely than anyone I have ever known. My job is to carry them well, to share what I have permission to share, and to hold in silence what belongs to the fire.
If you come to me, you will be received with respect — for your story, for your ancestors, for whatever brought you to this door. You do not need to believe anything in particular. You only need to come sincerely.

A necessary boundary, stated plainly: Bernardo does not represent his teachers, their communities, their nations, or their lineages. No one authorized him to speak for them, and he does not. What he represents is the knowledge they chose to place in his hands — their brilliance and their love for humanity — and the responsibility of carrying it with integrity.
The medicine feeds the people it came from. A portion of all proceeds from Seven Trees Healing goes to the teachers. This is protocol — the old agreement that knowledge flows forward only when gratitude flows back.

THE WAY WE WALK
PRINCIPLE I
ALL LIFE IS SACRED
Every session begins and ends in reverence — for you, for your ancestors, for the living world, and for the healing that wants to move.
PRINCIPLE II
HEALING IS REMEMBERING
You are not broken. You are remembering what was always whole. The work is to call back what was scattered and release what was never yours to carry.
PRINCIPLE III
THE KNOWLEDGE HAS OWNERS
These practices belong to living peoples, not to a marketplace. Bernardo works within lineage and permission, names his teachers openly, keeps closed what is closed, and returns a portion of proceeds to the communities this knowledge comes from.
PRINCIPLE IV
NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND
Sliding scale, always. No one who comes with a sincere heart is turned away for lack of funds. Because true healing cannot be gatekept by wealth, Bernardo ensures an ecosystem of mutual support that keeps these teachings accessible to all.
